The Role of a Director in Film

A director now is a long way from the set, usually in a tent watching a monitor. I love digital now, but there is more connection when it was on film and you're looking at the real thing. So that also disassociates me a little bit than it used to when it was through film. And then there's those actors who like to slow their lines because they want to be in the Dutting Street, the ADR. That makes a huge difference.
