Every time I went to do comedy, I was in the hotel room. On Saturday, I would figure out how can I slip on a banana peel and not do this fucking show. But if you let that fear win, then you're done. The feeling you're going to get from doing that stand up and bombing is about any feeling you've had. You might be a little creeped out, but it's like getting smacked in the face for the first time. It took me February of 89 to July of 91 to get on stage. That's 18 months. That's almost two years from when I kept telling people, I'm going to do comedy. I'm just writing
