Is the Vaccine a Disease Blocker?
In terms of the effects of the vaccine, have they been primarily looking at decreasing the severity of the illness or inhibiting transmissibility? That's a really good question, Darrell. What I think happened is when you heard the initial headlines, the vaccine was 95% effective in preventing infection and disease. While that was true at the time with a very susceptible virus, it's not true now. So these are really disease blocking rather than infection preventing.
