i think jefferson would be disturbed at a minimum by it might be right by the authority of the supreme court i've always said certainly my lifetime the presidency has uh erupted in power but so has the court and there are lots of reasons for that marbury was the marbury case is just the first but the warren court kind of took it to a different level. marshall had two goals during his three plus decades on as chief justice he has one of the longest terms of chief justice he has two goal one is to establish the supreme court as a legitimate credible and maybe even co-equal branch in the separation powers, she says.
