Was 2022 a Good Year for the Global South?
In 2022, we will see more direct to consumer fintechs targeting more specific audiences. I think it was definitely a better year for the south than the north, given the way things went. We've seen some amazing stuff in Latin as well, both in terms of fundraising, but also the established players consolidating. PayTM has lost more than 75% of its market value since listing. This was the world's biggest single year tumble amongst large IPOs in the last decade.
