Is There a Wealth Tax?
James Carville: Politicians are not just looking for new and exciting things to tax. When you look at all of the avenues that the federal government is funded by, they're shutting down. The amount of money that foreign companies and governments are loaning to the United States rises, but it doesn't rise as fast as the debt has been rising. And so politicians, I'm sure feel kind of behind the eight ball here. They've got to choose between coming up with novel taxes that didn't exist before or living with inflation.
