What's Your Favorite Thing About the Riots?
I love doing historical things, and part of the fun is trying to make it have that weirdness that you get when you get accurate about it. You don't really see a single image in the riots that wasn't grounded in some visual research. The kid tho got shot is wearing the same clothes that the kid gotwho was on the cover of life magazine. I love there's sort of visual games going on. Im not sure anybody noticed, but there are several haloes in the movie. A is a kind of gesture to the saints.
