Is There a Space of Things Like Sarcasm?

Sarcasm isn't well represented by the function of these other things sarcasm is a bit different. I often come across this because I'm often overlapping with contrarian groups who have concrete theses. And quite often the way other people react to a contrarian thesis is by dismissal and sarcasm and humor is often a way to express the dismissal. It's like, do I have to take this seriously? Is it okay if we just laugh about this and basically agree, this is not seriously and serious enough, good enough to be worth engaging?"
