I was growing an accountancy practice completely organically. I didn't have any plan necessarily to get involved in acquisition. But I met someone via networking basically who was looking to sell their accountancy practice. He tried a few times to sell to sort of larger corporates without success. Couldn't agree a price. Wasn't happy with their ethics and how they were going to look off staff, that kind of thing. So we agreed a deal over 20 years where he was being paid X amount per month. We agreed a price. It was half a million. And he asked me at that time whether I would need to borrow the money in order to do the down payment. And
