Brave New World by Huxley

Huxley was an intellectual and wrote brave new world after visiting hollywood, which he found to be superficial and shallow. One of his characters, helmhost watson, played by jonathan coy, imply its those type of values which have made the world into a global cult of numb skull consumerism. And if you get 18, 19, 20 year old students reading the text for the first time, the only thing is missing here is rock and roll. He's not anti democratic, but he's extremely wary of the worst effects of mass culture in the twentieth century.
