Mechanisms of Absorption of Hemine Iron
There's an asymmetry in how much we know about each of these things is that currently a fair assessment of the state of things and can you maybe speak a bit to that? So there have been a number of proposed mechanisms for the absorption of heme iron what we know is that we absorb heme intact. Once we get over that initial barrier to theabsorment of heme and non-heme iron the now bodies really don't distinguish between the dietary source of iron. We lose iron from cells that line the gut, line the urine retract, cells that skin cells, hair cells all contain small amounts of iron.
