The First Year or Two of Washington's Presidency

The parties don't appear in the Constitution and they're not there in the first few years of Washington's presidency. For the first year or two, Washington was pretty sanguine that his various advisors were going to work together very well. Really I think 1792 is when things start going downhill that the parties emerge within his own cabinet.
