Defining Religion and Science

In regard to the concept of religion, I think we should think of it also as a certain system of beliefs. Some people would like to defend certain religion or certain religious views by saying that science has to be based on faith. But if we have to assume certain things on faith, then science is then it doesn't change the fact that certain religious beliefs can be not justified, can not provide us with knowledge. So I think that position is hopeless because it's simply results in a certain kind of skepticism ultimately.
