i love to hear you both say more about how the ancient greeks thought about democracy, the idea of free speech versus free participation. Most of the book is actually a history of how this tension plays out and how it's mediated by immediate technology as that in advances from the oral tradition to whatever the hell tectoc is. And we've had this tension since the very beginning, since ancient athens. But i think plato really was an it gitter, right? Even though in the end, we have to depart from him because he didn't believe in democracy.
