Madeline: Avril really spoke to teenage girls in a way that Taylor didn't almost because Taylor appealed to the dreamer, the contemplator. Olivia does have a grit or like a darker side to her that Taylor has never had and especially didn't have when she was a younger artist. I don't personally get the sense that she is a writer. But what she is good at is delivering these platitudes with so much conviction.
