Police Unions Strike Again

The city of portland refused to budge on a strike by its police officers. The union's charter expressly banned strikes, but they were able to get the city to back them up with retroactive pay hikes. They then started picketing the docks, which effectively locked down all trade within the town. This cratered the local economy, and the city government was forced to come to the table and give the p p a rays they thought that they deserved. And when they succeeded, the rest of the nation's cops copied them.
