How to Write a User Story

Using a user story isn't that hard. It's a very simple framework that you can sit down with and list out some of the key things. Avoid development thinking too early, use UX design prototypes to test before development is a fantastic idea. Don't try to focus so much on the where and the how and the design and the development and the technical capabilities required underneath. And if there are open ended questions in your stories, consider using them internally to answer them.
