Dietary Approaches to Stop High Blood Pressure
There's plenty of data at the population level suggesting that sodium is linked to blood pressure. But as I briefly alluded to earlier, there is a lot of individual variability. If you take a thousand people and on average, they're eating a higher sodium diet than another group of a thousand people, they're probably going to have a higher blood pressure. And then again, just on average, black individuals tend to be more salt sensitive than white individuals.
