What Is Your Deductable?
Your co payment is the amount that you have to pay when you first go to the doctor or when you show up at the eme ecy room. And your co insurance is the portion that you share with the health plan to pay that bill. You've already paid your deductable, which is another category. So if you have a thousand dollar bill, but you have a five thousand dollar deductable, then your health plan isn't going to pay anything. In that case, they're just going to have you pay your deductable.
