What's the Naive General Question About Children's Literature?

leguin: I want to step back from this question of gender and ask what's perhaps the naive general question about children's literature as sort of a way into what we talk about. So i read your your national book award winning debut of middle grade fiction, goblin secrets, and i loved it. When i was reading it, it wasn't as if i was revisiting an early developmental stage of my life. And flip side, i read your story for uncanny, the house on the moon, which i could totally imagine a young tenager or a pretin loving it equally as well.
