Georgia Senate Runoff Election

The Georgia Senate runoff election is taking place today in fact as I'm recording this podcast the polls are now closing and it's pretty clear that the Democratic incumbent is going to retain this seat. So instead of a 50 50 split where you have the vice president breaking the ties it's going to be 51 49 majority for the Democrats which means they will control the committees They won't have to share power with the Republicans now thankfully the Republicans didn't win the House of Representatives. Biden and Democrats will have a difficult time getting their legislation through the United States Congress but it will certainly make it easier to get stuff done in the Senate.
