Penguin Random House Can't Acquire Simon & Schuster

Five publishing houses make up 90% of the market for best-selling books in the US. If Penguin were to acquire Simon & Schuster, that merger alone would control 50% of the book market. The DOJ said the decision was a win for authors and readers alike but Penguin Random House has already said it'll appeal the decision.
