The Power of Myth Interview Joseph Campbell

Joseph Campbell was heavily influenced by a psychoanalyst psychiatrist by the name of Carl Jung. According to Carl Jung there are four major archetypes, main archetypes and those four are the persona, the shadow, the anima or the animus and the self. Now these four major arche types branch out into 12 sub archetypes which fall under the heading of connect to others. The archetype of the innocent deals with safety, the archetype of the sage with deals with knowledge, the explorer which deals with freedom,. These would be the spiritual journey and then you have the Archetype of the outlaw which is deals with liberation.
