The Importance of Keeping It Moving
I was quite homesick, if I'm completely honest, for trees. There wasn't really any other galleries that were like leading in that sense. It was so tiny, the art world then. And a lot of my friends who'd been artists who'd been watching me at Dofe's expected me to open a gallery and were quite surprised when I went to New York. John Curran was sort of saying, you know, like, come on, open a gallery in London.
