The Disappointment of Mendy

I'm disappointed that it fails to give any kind of acknowledgement that there are potentially a lot of women out there who are affected by serious sexual abuse. No acknowledgement of that, no sort of respect for the feelings and trauma of what a number of women have gone through is a big problem when it's so widely disregarded in society generally. Am I really surprised that players who are quite insulated from ordinary society sort of felt the need to speak out on something like this? Not entirely either because they are so utterly removed from the normality facing people, particularly women and these kind of cases. There's a real decision that they've made to speak out without paying any lip surface to the fact that
