Shazno says that Sun Yat-sen's United League was ill-suited to the purpose. The authority and resources of both Sun and his party were worn out by a series of abortive plots. On October 10, 1911, there was an explosion in a house in the port of Hankau which was a treaty port. And it turns out that the house was an arsenal and headquarters of the local revolutionaries.
