French President Emmanuel Macron's Visit to Algeria

Francis Lopes is a journalist with the Financial Times covering international capital markets in North Africa. He says French president did achieve much of what he wanted to achieve, but not everything. His main aim was meant to be a seduction trip vis-a-vis the Algerian young, particularly the young Entrepreneurial people who are frustrated about lack of reform in Algeria. In a way, the composition of the delegation was fascinating - it would have been impossible 15 years ago to imagine one composed for two thirds of French people of North African origin.
