When i first started making the film, i kind of imagined that it was going to be people who looked like brittany when she was younger. When i was there meeting them, it was a lot of people who are queer who were shamed for their sexuality as young people. And we saw her struggling. She was treated so poorly that we don't want any one to be treated that way again. So i think it's deep. It's people who have this really deep connection with her. I read that the aggregate use of that hash tag is over twent four million. Who are these free britany people? Are the's everybody.
