The Value of Authenticity in Church Communities

Jesus says being out of community is unthinkable. There's no opt-out button, there's no out of community option. Jesus was known as a friend of sinners and text collectors. He's talking about protecting the integrity of this radically inclusive, yet uncompromisingly exclusive community. And so it's amazing that in our day, followers of Jesus are voluntarily opting out of church community. That's the self-inflicted torture.
