Is the Conviction Rate Going Up?
The conviction rates have gone up following the Me Too movement. The average was 58%, but in the last couple of years it's risen to 70%. We looked at every single jury verdict in every rape case over a 15-year period. And I've yet to find one who has said that there are any easy rape cases. That's something that you can't investigate as such. But suggestion that the prosecution service is going for the low hanging fruit, that's not borne out by your findings.
