Is Marriage Afapt to Signify the Union of Christ in the Church?

By its nature, I think marriage is apt to signify the union of God with humanity. The precise form that that takes would depend on the covenants that God has chosen to enter into with humanity. But until Christ does actually come and actually founded the church and elevated marriage to the level of a sacrament, it's not actually able to do so.
