Almati Was the Cornerstone of the Violent Clashes

The protests in western cossack son remained peaceful, did not have police intervention. But why is it then that e almati was so a hard cought, if you like? The protestes there were, from what i observed, just having absolutely none of it. And this time the state just reacted really, really violently, took a heavy handed response to it.
