The Strong Black Woman Trope
The book is about the idea that our entire lives don't have to be dedicated to whatever outsiders struggle they want to impart upon us. We're not saying do not have depictions or representations of strong black women, but also recognize that strength and weak ness can exist in the same body. And so that was really something that i wanted to explore andi grapple with.
