What Is the Meaning of Typology?

The way some people have talked about the difference between a sort of horizontal typology and a more vertical ptypology. How can we see in typology something that refers not just to future events, but to a higher sort of heavenly realities? Well, many of these things, they do point forward to christand i think one of the things that keeps people from seeing a lot of these things is the way that that scholars can be inclined to talk about a a thing.
