The Skepticism of Ukrainian Strategy

It's very hard accurately to do a real net assessment of Ukrainian capabilities versus Russian capabilities. This is something that our intelligence community seems to have gotten wrong from the very beginning of this war. I don't think the Ukrainians are going to try to initiate this counter offensive by crossing the river doing the hardest thing they possibly could do. That would not make a lot of sense. But you then need to flip it around and say, look, the thing in war is you need to be better than your adversary. You don't need to bebetter than the arbitrarily perfect force.
