In 19 71, a group of danish squatters discovered this abandoned seventeenth century military barracks on the edge of copenhagen. They moved into it and established a hippy mune, which they called freetown, christiania. Danish film maker yoron bang carlson was among christiania's first settlers. He remembers clambering over the fence one night with his girl friend into a vast, ghostly space with grand old barracks and warehouses.
