I use home kit because I'm an Apple nerd. My interaction is all controlled via my voice and the hey lady command. It was expensive, but delightful because of it brings you joy. The Nest thermostat has been a complete garbage fire for me now 10 years later. They released software update delivered wirelessly over Wi-Fi to the nest that applied completely incorrectly. So with one push of one button or my voice, I can set a scene that is really, really useful.
