The La Chatier Principle of Oxygen Binding
An increase in the number of protons in s ton pushes the reaction with bi carbonate backwards. This is called the la chatier principle, which i would have talked about in one of the previous chemistry episodes. Higher partial pressures of oxygen lead to more oxygen binding, cause there's more of it around. Whereas lower partial pressures of Oxygen lead to oxygen being released causing thre's less round and it tends to diffuse to where it's needed.
