McCarthy has a history of overestimating his power and ability. Biden doesn't have any ask on Ukraine at the moment. If McCarthy is going to carry water for his efforts to resupply and fund Ukraine, that would be suicidal for him. The problem from McCarthy is he has some people on the record now saying what they voted for last week will never become law.
