When I got to graduate school and Fred James then assigned the anti-edipist for one of the seminars, I was fascinated. And so that was my sort of my launching pad. The dissertation ended up being a very small scale look at both layer as an example of what happens when a society becomes market oriented or market based. So it became two books: Baudelaire part was about was my Baudelaires book, and then the introduction to Schizophrenal as if it was the other half of the dissertation.
