Lynn novick is an award winning documentary film maker. She has been producing and directing documentaries for nearly 30 years, often in collaboration with ken burns. Lynn made her solo directorial debut on college behind bars - a four hour documentary series that she produced with sara astein. My other guest today is jule hall, who completed the bard programme while in prison. He got an undergraduate degree in german studies through bard.
