The Germans and the French
The french were obviosly the dominant leaders in the world. And there was no doubt that they looked upon the germans as a collection of fairly di provincials. Nobody could be expected to speak, to receive this entirely well. There soud ave been a certain accumulated resentment against it,. A sort of backlash against this particular attitude is absolutely inevitable. This has nothing to do with the true life of mankind which is within and which yo steak, we alone.
