The Death Penalty and Forgiveness
Christianity is about performing socially for a crowd, and then it's really horrific. 99% of the people that are like, a little attack me when I do this stuff they don't support the death penalty. A lot of truth is only self evident because it's culturally contingent. And if you don't have them then people will believe complete lies. The story is not that everyone the shekel or the the scales fall from their eyes but instead what happens is that that kid is executed.
