Cyrus Westfield decided to try again. He had to start the entire process from scratch, starting all the way back at the stage of raising the money for a sixth try. It took more than seven years to have another attempt ready, but in 1865, they were ready to go. The end of the cable, which connected Newfoundland to Ireland, reached a fishing village named Hart's content on the North American coast on July 27th of 1866.
