Sanacherib had at least seven sons. The older son, urdu mulisu, was named the crown prince. But after a few years, he seems to have fallen out of favour with his father. It may be that snakrib detected something cold and hard in the character of urdum su,. A hunger for power that frightened him. Whatever it was, sanakrib decided to name the youngest of his sons as crown prince instead.
