Do I Start My Own Thing or Do I Embrace Them?

My father owns a restaurant and eventually wants me to take it over. He's self-centered, egotistical, and doesn't care about the employees or customers. I'm at a crossroads. Do I start my own venture or do I inherit the business and fix the issues? Any advice would be appreciated.
