Is QE a Good Idea?
Former head of monetary affairs at the Fed says QE can make a difference in markets. He wonders if buying up tips, which are treasury inflation protected securities, made them more liquid. The other is they may feel a little more comfortable playing in that market in size because they're more confident at the Fed.
