Introduction
There are approximately 240,000 people in the United States who experience a transient ischemic attack. TIA's are associated with an increased risk of subsequent stroke and there may be modifiable risk factors that provide secondary stroke prevention measures. multidisciplinary society guidelines recommend neuroimaging preferably within 48 hours of symptom onset. The recommendation includes an urgent brain MRI or brain CT if MRIs contraindicated and complete neurovascular evaluation.
