The Case of Zhang's Execution
The father of the executed soldier worked tirelessly to prove his son's innocence. In 2011, a posthumous retrial was ordered, and Zhang's name was finally cleared. The following month, October 2011, came a ruling on government compensation for the family. 131.85 million NT, or almost 132 million NT, roughly equivalent to four and a half million US dollars.
