The Role of Next-Frame Prediction in Behavior
The idea that compression is sufficient to produce all the desired behaviors is a very radical idea. It's something that wouldn't work in biological organisms, I believe. Of course, there's not this degree of simultaneity in a biological system. But again, I don't know whether this is actually an optimization if we imitate biology here. And also seems so much more complicated and messy than next-frame prediction,. Even the idea of frame seems counter-biological.
